The vision of ACIA is to deliver culturally appropriate quality health care and support services for Africans living with HIV/AIDS
We are one the largest volunteer-supported organisations offering sound outreach services to isolated Africans in a number of boroughs, with a host of networking mainstream partners and drug companies. - our aims are to:
- Offer support groups for those living with HIV/AIDS
- Gender empowerment for African women to make obsolete cultural practices which may abet the HIV/AIDS and STD's
- Educate people with the relation to the spread of HIV/AIDS and STD's
- Empower individuals living with HIV/AIDS to build a supportive network around them to combat the stigma of isolation and shame.
- improve training and support of HIV/AIDS workers
provide authoritative information and advocacy on HIV/AIDS.
In order to achieve these aims ACIA will seek to:
- consistently raise sufficient income to support our ambitions
- raise awareness of ACIA and its mission
- recruit and retain high quality staff across the organisation
- create the highest quality infrastructure and support services.
