Our Work

What We Do

The vision of ACIA is to deliver culturally appropriate quality health care and support services for Africans living with HIV/AIDS

We are one the largest volunteer-supported organisations offering sound outreach services to isolated Africans in a number of boroughs, with a host of networking mainstream partners and drug companies. - our aims are to:

  • Offer support groups for those living with HIV/AIDS
  • Gender empowerment for African women to make obsolete cultural practices which may abet the HIV/AIDS and STD's
  • Educate people with the relation to the spread of HIV/AIDS and STD's
  • Empower individuals living with HIV/AIDS to build a supportive network around them to combat the stigma of isolation and shame.
  • improve training and support of HIV/AIDS workers

  • provide authoritative information and advocacy on HIV/AIDS.

In order to achieve these aims ACIA will seek to:

  • consistently raise sufficient income to support our ambitions
  • raise awareness of ACIA and its mission
  • recruit and retain high quality staff across the organisation
  • create the highest quality infrastructure and support services.
